Join us for a five-week introduction to the Latin language, held in person in Armidale. This is an adult learning class using Hans Ørberg's widely acclaimed Lingua Latina per se illustrata, a progressive reader which allows you to experience the joy of reading Latin from your first exposure, without relying on constant reference to a dictionary. Lessons will feature a combination of listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises to give you a rounded initiation to learning Latin.

This course assumes no prior knowledge of Latin, however participants who have had some previous exposure are welcome to enrol.

Please note that this class is for students aged eighteen years and over.

When: Mondays 7-8:30pm on 12/10, 19/10, 2/11, 9/11, 16/11

NB: there is no class scheduled on 26/10

Course materials: We will be working through the first five chapters of Lingua Latina per se illustrata — Pars I Familia Romana. Participants may choose to purchase their own copy (ISBN 9781585104239) or borrow a copy from Tutorium for the duration of the course for no additional cost. Please bring pen and paper with you.
